Ramiele Did Not Impress The Judges

Published by CoolEyeBlue at 12:21 pm under American Idol, music, tv

It was 70s night in week 2 of American Idol. Ramiele sang “Don’t Leave Me This Way” by Thelma Houston.

The judges all agreed it was an “OK” performance. Her song, according to Paula, did not allow her to perform her magic. Simon did say she was still one of the top three singers in the competition.

Ramiele later defended her song choice. She opted for a fast disco song because “People would have started calling me ‘lullaby’ instead of ‘Malubay’ I heard,” referring to the ballad she sang last week that got rave reviews.

I suppose she wanted to be seen as ‘multi-dimensional’ rather than a ballad powerhouse. Oh well, on to week 3!

If there is such a thing as a bad song choice, I suppose there’s also a bad wardrobe choice, hehe… Also, the camera make you look fat.
