Danica Patrick First-Ever Female IndyCar Winner

Published by CoolEyeBlue at 1:00 am under cars, racing

Danica Patrick finally won one. She did it in the Twin Ring Motegi oval in Japan, beating Dancing With The Stars champion Helio Castoneves, who came in second. Although she only led 3 laps, it was fuel strategy that won the race.

“Finally,” Patrick said through tears before a victory lap to compose her thoughts. “This is a long time coming. It was a fuel strategy race, but my team called it perfectly for me. I know I was on the same strategy as Helio, and when I passed him for the lead I couldn’t believe it. This is fabulous.”

A big ass win deserves a big ass picture, hehe… besides, if it was a “normal” picture, we would have to squint our eyes because she is not exactly burly like Tony Stewart.
