What is a Jeepney? Jeepney has a soul. Jeepney is a symbol of Filipino culture and transportation.

It starts with all the left over Jeep Willys left over from WWII from the Americans. Then expand and expand and expand. Along the way, it has provide a means of cheap transportation.

“Without the Jeepney, there is no Philippine”, said Kat from Arizona.

    Although the jeepney moved the masses faster, the carabao is the primary workhorse of the Filipinos. A more accurate assessment would be, “Without World War 2, there is no jeepney”. The original jeepneys were modified Willys MB US Army Jeep. If the Americans did not bring these jeeps, the Philippine roads would be much different.

    You are wrong! Jeepneys are far more popular than taxis, busses, and or tricycles. It is the king of the road! It can even transport carabaos!
