After butchering “I Shot the Sheriff” and forgetting the lyrics of ”Mr. Tambourine Man,”, Jason Castro was eliminated (finally!) from American Idol. Some call him the dreadlocked heartthrob. I think he’s just dreadful. Simon Cowell told him to pack his suitcase prior to the official vote off.

During the show, Maroon 5 performed “If I Never See Your Face Again”. Now, I’m a big Maroon 5 fan, but Adam Levine was atrocious on this one. Yuck! If I was to compare Jason Castro’s vocals with his performance, Jason Castro actually wins.

Bo Bice also performed. His song “Witness” was OK. He even used a talk box ala Peter Framption during his solo. He did rocked the joint, so it was all-good.

And now that Jason Castro is gone, we are left with the final three: David Cook, David Archuleta, and Syesha Mercado.
